A motor home is a home away from home. And just like a home, there
are many things to consider when maintaining, upgrading and
adapting one for your personal use.
To begin with, motor homes are built on a heavy duty, multi use
chassis that while designed for them, does not always meet the specific load
bearing requirements of the options and layout unique to a
particular motor home. This can often be the source of steering,
suspension and braking problems.
For similar reasons, other mobile homes such as conventional trailers,
fifth-wheel trailers, truck campers and van campers can also have steering,
suspension and braking problems. These types of problems, shortcomings
and annoyances are generally solved through a combination of custom
suspension and accessories; steering and brake system tuning, and
other special techniques. This is the best way to improve the road
manners of a motor home for safe operation on the road.
Solving these types of problems are part of the "Undercarriage Services" we
typically perform on motor homes and mobile homes of all types. Other
Undercarriage Services we perform include standard maintenance on the drive
line, cooling, electrical, brake, steering and suspension systems as well as
belt and hose replacement; tire rotation and balancing; and wheel repair or
replacement.
